Company had to consider this but couldn't see a way to do this with no ISL and they need many positions filled for the summer so they will publish a system bid soon.
A further rumor is that the UAL MEC, having lost that battle (with precedent set to lose the same battle in the next LCAL system bid 6 months from now when ISL still may not be completed), is now pushing for a very rapid SLI so that further bids (LCAL type or otherwise) won't occur without UAL pilots in the mix.
Complete, unsubstantiated rumors.

With 589 vacancies this rumor may still be false, but you've got to wonder if UAL wants another CAL-only bid. They voted yes to stop the upgrades and here we are with the largest vacancy bid since the "flush bid" of '98.
