I worked for Mesa (actually Air Midwest) for 3 1/2 years and I got some valuable experiences during my time there. I knew from day one that I was not going to stay there for my career. Once 9/11 hit, my "ideal" career definition changed, but I knew that Mesa was not going to be in the pic. I went to Comair...ahhh, if I only knew then what I know now. That is the beauty of hindsight though.

I knew that I was leaving Mesa, but when it came time to vote for the current working agreement, vote as if you are going to be there for the duration, and what is best for the entire group. JO threatened us with furloughs if we voted no...and people listened. Yes, Freedumb was a threat BUT he could not replace all of Mesa with the few individuals that took the lure of the shiny new 900's to heart. In the up coming negotiations and eventual vote...don't give in to the idle threats he throws out. Stand up to that man and his bs. This is the only way to bring Mesa out of the shadows and quit the "bottom feeder" mentality that is common place today.

Congrats on the new planes...don't give anything up for more new planes. When it does come time to vote (in 2-4 yrs)...EVERYONE THAT IS ELIGIBLE NEEDS TO VOTE!!!
