Friend of mine had an interview and was hired within the last month. She was not an intern & did not have an interview, or interview scheduled in 08 (or whenever they stopped hiring).
Before anyone makes any judgement cause I know its comin, lol, she is great girl and a better stick than the majority of CA's I flew with
But I bet she was a scholarship candidate. I saw several pilots who were interviewing this week and all of them are "considered" special candidates, ie....interns, type rating scholarships stc.....
There has not been one applicant called from off the street unless they have some background mentioned above.
