I did mine there as well...with a new inspector. This was a few years ago (2004). I was her first CFI applicant. She had just come from corp flying the citation and told me that she didn't want the airspeed indicator on the 172RG to dip below 85 kts unless we were on the ground. "less than 100 kts in a jet and we're dead." Umkay
Slow flight....85 KIAS
approach to a stall....85 KIAS
Landing...short and normal...85 KIAS
After awhile, I just laughed at it and did what I was told...passed on the first try. She wanted flight following while we did the maneuvers (which is a pain in the arse around Alliance). The flight was around 2.5 and I would say 1.5 of that was clearing turns she had me do looking for a crop duster she thought she saw before every maneuver. I never saw it -- neither did regional approach. Trust me, I asked them on her behalf about 50 times! No Tx maybe?
The flight school charged me $38 to fix the claw marks she made on the armrests everytime we started to slow down
She wanted answers to her oral questions to be VERBATIM from the book. No applied "nonsense" with her.
