The CRJ doesn't meet Emirates requirements anymore. With plenty of type rated pilots without jobs in Europe, they can really pick who they want. By type rated I mean type on heavies, Air Bus etc. not on silly RJ's.
Well, I just talked to someone who recently had an interview with nothing bigger than CRJ 700 time..
30 ton requirement hasn't changed as far as I know.
