Had a UND student taxi us out to the runup pad on his checkride. We use to have to skirt some busted up asphalt and a 6" drop off to get there. At the point we had to turn left to align with the parking spot he slams in right rudder towards the drop off which is only about 12" or less from the right main. I slam the brakes and ask him what he was doing. He said he was testing my instructor intervention skills. I did the taxi back and let him explain his action to the old man. He went straight to 89 and passed. He later was washed out of UPT for failure to adapt to the military during T6 form flight. Not calling UND out. They do have an excellent program. Just every UND grad I've flown with has had this attitude problem.
