Been there done that. It helps to place the radio right up against the offender's wall. The two times I've done it I also placed a pillow over the radio to limit collateral damage to other neighbors. I set the alarm to go off just as I'm leaving the room so I can enjoy hearing firsthand that my petty yet quite satisfying juvenile response is in fact effective.
All good so far, but don't forget to follow up with a courtesy wake-up call from the lobby on the house phone.
