Not arguing, but do you blame the people for complaining? Year after year Cincinnati had, still has, the highest average fare of any city in the USA. And Delta has cut flights there even without a LCC being present. And now that Frontier has moved in, DAL suddenly matches fares? Wait a second, I thought DAL needed the fares high in order to be profitable? Which is it?
I know many people have no problem driving to Dayton if you're in Cincy, or down to Lexington or Louisville if you're in Northern KY. People save a lot of money doing that.
Also, minor point, DHL moved back to CVG and has built a very large sort facility there. That's the only thing keeping CVG viable at this point. If DHL wasn't paying a majority of the airport fees, DAL wouldn't be able to do it alone.
The entire situation is sad, very sad. Cincinnati has already lost industry because of the lack of options at CVG. In the end, it is the people who get screwed by all of this.
