Just before the Christmas break during UPT, our T-38 squadron commander told the class: "Here's how it will go. You'll meet your old buddies in the local bar and they will say 'Wow!' and 'How fast does it go?' and ask some stupid questions. After a few minutes of trying to communicate with them, it will become clear that you now live in a different world, and can never return to theirs."
