The question is why? Are there not enough US citizens to fill the demand? Why are so many doctors coming from Central and SE Asia? Most or many McDonald's are staffed with non english speaking Latino's, etc... Middle Class kids don't want to do those jobs... but a doctor?
Try this one: tell your kid/friend/neighbor who is 18 that for the next 10 years you will study/work 80 hours a week, put your life/friends on hold, and get paid nothing, to become a Dr.
See if their enthusiasm matches their Millennial attitude towards life, and ironically turns away to watch his/her favorite reality show . . .
Yeah, got it... as I suggested it in another thread... the question was for the poster I responded to... why in the US are kids not wanting a professional career... and the thread evolved, even with a poster talking about his own kid enjoying life without direction.....
meanwhile those who control industry are simply handing the keys to a US middle class lifestyle to third world people who have the motivation....
So it goes back to the my first response... who do you want flying our jets.... many have responded that they don't want their kids to be pilots... so just like doctors they don't mind if third world people are giving us healthcare or flying our jets...
