Actually there is not much arguing, one side says wearing the lanyard wont accomplish much. The other side is saying anyone who says that is an angry anti-unity creep who should be drummed out of the service so the remaining members will be 100% unified. Not sure which is the childish position.

To have an argument we would need someone to say that wearing the lanyard will accomplish something (you know like it did for ole miss).

As a side note I proudly wear my lanyard because I believe in futile gestures. Not because I am a conformist.

As a compromise I propose we wear two lanyards, our ALPA landyards and an Ole Miss lanyard to show solidarity with our old white Mississippi brothers, Alpa lanyard on top except for game days. I draw the line at wearing a Gator lanyard.
