At just 81 airplanes, all CAs and all FOs will be topped out at their respective payscales, 12 yrs and 4 yrs. Newer airlines like GoJets, Silver, and other new entrants can do it cheaper with a lower longevity pilot group. There's no financial reason to keep a super senior pilot group going. I honestly don't think it bodes well with Delta considering how Comair went. You have the exact same setup. Comair at one point was also 130+ CRJs, but soon they shrunk down to 80 planes, then down to 44. The pilots took concessions several times to keep the place afloat, and even had "fleet guarantees" written on paper, signed in a contract, with Delta. Sound familiar?
