This is what happened where I work part time. They (insurance) didn't so much as care about your total times as much as the fact that you go to an approved school. All I had to do though was go to recurrent with the crew to satisfy the insurance. It basiclly got me a SIC check out, but no official SIC rating.
This brings me to a quick logging question. How do you guys that don't have a type log the time when your the "sole manipulator"? I know most places don't like to see it as PIC time, but you need to log it some way for IFR and TO's & landing currency.
