I work for delta in Atlanta on the ramp and also working on my ratings. I went by the chief pilots office for both Delta and Express Jet, they both told me that within the next two or three years that the boom is gonna happen. Has anyone heard the same thing from some of the cheif pilots at other companies? I've also been hearing rumors from delta pilots that they are gonna start hiring in the fall?
Please do not confuse "hiring" with "pilot shortage". I have almost 1,000 friends that I used to fly with who are currently not flying and they are still looking for flying jobs that pay above a welfare wage.
