Not to be a stickler, but several at Eagle here "informed" me in tge past that flying that used to be done by AA pilots and now done by Eagle pilots really wasn't AA's as AMR owns the flying and not the pilots and decides who flies what if scope allows it. In other words no one owns any flying they do, if it can be done by others. I don't see any difference then in a name either as AMR owns their "brand" and if Eagle scope allows another to operate under that brand, Eagle pilots don't own it. AMERICAN EAGLE has only been an "airline" for 16 years and was born of the 16-year contract that invented it. Previous to that it was a group of essentially 4 seperate airlines and since that contract is dead and scope allows the re morph back into separates, AMR is doing what they can and there is no "American Eagle" as an individual airlines and no one has rights to be that airline individually.

Just as their is no individual "Delta Connection" or "United Express", there is no "American Eagle". That is the new future. Regional flying will always be sub-contract flying with cannibalistic properties.
