You disagree and I respect your opinion, we happen to disagree. My concern was on the human side, Pinnacle is going from 181 jets to 81. That is a lot of human wreckage and as a fellow union member I believe in giving a hand to our fellow union members, I would welcome any Pinnacle pilot onto our list. Maybe I am going soft (or soft headed) in my old age.

I don't know anything about this other than the public press reports. I haven't spoken with anyone about this ever and I have no idea what anyone has said or didn't say, therefore I won't comment on speculation and hearsay, it is not fair to anyone involved. With great joy and relief, I am "out of the loop" and have no intention of getting back "in the loop".

I don't know what the MEC is thinking or the MEC Administration, I have not spoken with anyone about this. The last time I saw anyone from the administration was at a football party and thankfully we did not talk about ALPA crap. It is someone else's turn to worry about this junk because I am done with it. I assume that the MEC will address this in detail at the next meeting (tomorrow) and perhaps your rep (or incoming rep) can give a detailed recap.
Slowplay,

All of your replies are appreciated. It is not usually a "like" or "dislike." We try to deal with objective facts. In this case the outgoing MEC Chair as well as our Negotiators stated there was no meeting with our MEC structure. That is a fact on record.

Since we own the flying, it is our treasure. I don't understand why all of us can't agree that it is in our best interest to know when someone makes a run on our treasure. We can defend better if we know what is coming. It is my opinion the Admin Manual protects us.

As for the human cost aren't there several ways to skin that cat? Just after the Pinnacle deal was inked, Teamsters members at Republic picked up 12 new 50 seat RJ's! Delta is paying to restore them with new interiors, paint and fresh C Checks.

Pinnacle is being staffed with "bungee bosses" on temporary assignment.

IMHO:
1) Pinnacle is an alter ego
2) The drama was manufactured to re start whipsaw and we (ALPA) played along as we do when we facilitate outsourcing

P.S. You left some big shoes to fill if you are who some claim and if you are. Thank you for your responsiveness to my questions.
