I can agree that substantial damage was done to the US part 121 profession with c-scale pilots flying our planes, pilots would have walked off the job over this just ten years ago, well APA and SWAPA would have. What I have a major problem with is making the same stupid decisions over and over hoping for a better outcome each time. Lastly, for all I know you could be some zit faced intern reading tuner car or world of warcraft magazine on the fourth floor; I don't really care. The best position for a guy like you is handling the aftermath of families destroyed or otherwise uprooted through whipsawing between regionals. Maybe you could have dinner with a RJ pilot and his family and explain why he's going from CRJ-50 captain to CRJ-900 FO on probation instead of flying the same jet or better at Delta.
