UAL currently has tickets for sale on it's website (CAN to SFO) with flights operated by DragonAir.....which is a OneWorld affiliate who has a code share with Air China, which is a Star partner. As much as I'd like to see outsourced flying performed by UAL pilots, I'm not sure it's a slam-dunk.
If the US Air/AA merger goes down, US Air will be American Airlines. United does not and will not code share with American Airlines. Just like we stole CAL from Sky Team, American will steal US Air from DeathStar. See my post below.
