Regarding Fedex, again do a little reading, I'll give you the short version, assuming your "new" to looking at Fedex. If you got at least one preferably two or three friends at Fedex carrying your app and doing what
they need to do than your earlier question has merit. Fedex is in the mist of a very large hiring phase (the good news) the bad, everyone and his sister is trying to get in.
If you don't have an internal friend than the sim job is an excellent way to circumnavigate the "good ol boy" network most pilots use to get in. Yes, you will lose a couple years on the list, but you will be in. I can't speak for UPS, but I understand recommendations are also a must (for line apps not mgt positons; some UPS guy correct me if I'm wrong).
