All of the freighters are powered by the CFM56's. We have three combis that are powered by the low-bypass JT3's. ATI recently purchased two DC-8-72's from the French Air Force which are presently being fumigated
and modified to eventually join the combi fleet.
All the airplanes have UNS-1D GPS's installed. All of the DC-8-73's have glass (Rockwell I believe). The -62's and -71's still have their original avionics (except for the altimeters and airspeed indicators). The -72's are supposed to have a complete Universal package installed including the flat panels and I understand eventually the whole fleet will be converted to Universal displays.
