I honestly can't see why anyone has any issue with pilots bringing their own food along for their trips.

I do it because 1) it saves a LOT of money. And 2) because sometimes you flat out don't have time to go searching around a terminal for food that won't give you the runs and isn't too pricey.

I'll always go out for drinks with my crew and always buy at least the first round. But if anyone has an issue with me bringing my own food with me then that's their problem. Also, I put my lunch bag behind my seat so it's not in the way of coming in or out of the flight deck.

That being said I also know plenty of guys that fly for the big guys (CAL, UAL, SWA, FDX, USA, etc) that bring their own food and make plenty of bank.

If the negative Nancy's on here want to keep spending twice as much (at least) money, and probably twice as much time on food at the airports you fly to so be it. But why judge those that choose to bring their own sustenance?
