Mishaps rates have been hanging fairly steady for years now. Nothing like the huge waves of the 60s, 70, and even the 80s.
I haven't seen graphs/stats in a few years now since retirement but I'd wager that they are similar.
As for "few" - I meant spikes in the averages.
At 500 hrs - you are starting to think you are foolproof.
At 1500 - you are starting to get complacent.
I actually don't know if there is another spike in there. It can be done of course - but getting over 2000 in type is a challenge in TacAir.
Sounding naiive I'm sure, but what's TacAir? I know that's a FBO-type company that has a bad rap and a quick turnover in the pilot ranks, but that's this in the military term? Tactical Air group? Squadron? Does this include fighters and bombers, fighters only, bombers only, what are the components?
