Even after the reserves are assigned, you'll still be ednied all trip trades due to low coverage... usually it's 6 or 10 reservists that are missing and you'll never be able to trade anything. I personally haven't been able to execute an open-time trade (even same amount of days) for over 8 months now in both IAD and DTW.

And yes, that's what a lot of the senior guys I fly with say... they don't want to give up QOL to be an FO for the last 5-15 years of their career even though the money is decent. Most are still worried about being furloughed if they go to a major. Fine, let them think that. Less competition for those of us that want to go. Many of them couldn't take being an FO again... captain is too ingrained in them.
