It's sort of fitting that I just finished Jake Tapper's "The Outpost" yesterday. Between my deployments to the region, and just being a generally concerned US citizen, I'm as disgusted as it seems you are.

I'm concerned that losing our Special Forces presence will have a larger, and negative affect on total US and world security. I hope our intelligence gathering is minimally impeded, because I fear the effects of losing track of the situation over there. Maybe this is just a facade to placate the Afghanny people, and we will still have Special Forces covertly involved.

Oh well, we have Africa now.
