When you don't have a union that is willing to do the right thing and step in to protect pilots from themselves, this is the result. Our reps should never have let it get to a vote. But by passing it along, they enabled management to steal a lot of candy with very little in return. I agree that the consequences of this are only just beginning to be seen. Staffing the schedule with reserve pilots will become the norm.
