Are any RNP .1 approach minimums lower than SBAS (WAAS LPV) procedures? I realize some are in mountainous areas where mask angle is such that an SBAS approach is not possible (requiring IRSs), but I'm just wondering what the advantage of RNP authorization is instead of upgrading equipment to SBAS-enabled GPSs (probably cost?).
