Please...I say go for it! Enjoy life doing what you want to do, not what you have to do. Stay in the game, the money will come. I've been a pilot for 25 years. I started when I had two kids and a wife (not in that order) and we did it. Go for it and don't give up!!!!
If one has no life to begin with and has no hope of ever having one then I suppose going for it would be an acceptable option. However at attempt it with a family in tow would be completely irresponsible. A father has a responsibility to provide and be there for his family. It is unfair to put them through the early years as a pilot.
