Heck, the best part is that once the new rest rules start they will not be required to continue to pay 75 hour guarantee:
3.K.1. A pilot who is available for duty for the full month will be guaranteed a minimum of 75 hours of flight pay per month.
2. A pilot who is unavailable for part of a month will have his guarantee prorated (except for paid vacation or paid sick leave).
3.M.4. K.1 and K.2 above will no longer apply upon implementation of FAA flight crewmember duty and rest regulations promulgated in 2012.
How does that work? If you were awarded a 70 hour line, you'd only be paid for 70 hours? What about a reserve who isn't used and credits 40 hours but is available for the full month?
