1st year pay at the regional is low because there is an adequate supply of pilots here right now.
Once the supply of qualified pilots here diminishes, which it will, you will see higher pay and / or bonuses being offered to attract more applicants.
Go ask your buddies at the bingo hall to explain the laws of supply and demand to you, then you might stop crying on the AARP forums about the pice of gas!

I am confused because at first you said first year pay was low because FOs were not experienced, and were being compensated by all that knowledge that comes in your first big 121 job. Now first year pay is low because of supply and demand? Which one is it?
