Alaska bought by Delta, Horizon whipsawed by DAL as they do so well to make them cost competitive to other DCI carriers. Only reason I think this possible long term is that after the USAir and American merger DAL is the smallest of the large legacies. Delta management will not like that and want to stay competitive so they'll have their chomps out at the two smaller legacies (Alaska and Hawaiian). Compelling thought that I hope does not happen. Regionals hate life under the Delta banner.
