Heck, the best part is that once the new rest rules start they will not be required to continue to pay 75 hour guarantee:
3.K.1. A pilot who is available for duty for the full month will be guaranteed a minimum of 75 hours of flight pay per month.
2. A pilot who is unavailable for part of a month will have his guarantee prorated (except for paid vacation or paid sick leave).
3.M.4. K.1 and K.2 above will no longer apply upon implementation of FAA flight crewmember duty and rest regulations promulgated in 2012.
Also, they want to start co-basing and anyone based in DCA or LGA will understand the huge increase in cost that will be. I don't know how I would be able to make a 2-hour callout to BWI let alone afford the gas.
The line guarantee not applying you're talking about in "M" applies to section M - Timing Out. You will still get your 75 hours line guarantee every month unless you time out early in the year then you won't get paid for the rest of the year. They are trying to take away what's in the current contract, since timing out will be easier with the new rest rules, where if you hit 1000 hours at the end of November then you take December off and still get paid 75 hours.
