Bigger concern is golden handcuffs -- meaning going anywhere is a substantial pay cut for many, many years (admittedly, the left seat at all legacies would be a big pay increase - but who knows how long it would take to get there?)

And age. I'm 40, so time is running short to get on with a legacy and have it be worthwhile.

I was furloughed USAir and chose not to accept recall. More often than not I regret that decision.
I wouldn't let that past decision bother you much. We had senior FOs on the west bail and go to places like Virgin after the east had a melt down, they regret it too. We're (US Airways) hiring and at age 40 you'd still be a youngin' around here. Something to think about anyways. I know there are some posts on here about low time FOs getting on, but I don't think it's the norm. All the guys I personally know that got interviews had 6-10k and were RJ captains, so you'd fit right in with your hours. Best of luck in whatever you decide.
