Hopefully it's better. When I came back from 5 1/2 years of furlough in 2008 it was virtually nothing. We sat through the first two days of an indoc class, made sure our paperwork was good, and we were out of there. I was dumber than I was 7 years earlier as a new hire. Plus, a lot of the system stuff had changed and I was going from not flying at all to the -800 glass.
In many ways, the "re-orientation" stuff should be more developed than the new hire stuff. In my case, it was free form. 'Course, this was 5 years ago and pre-merger.
