Non-Rev/Jump Seat to Marsh Harbour, Bahamas
I'm heading to Marsh Harbour at the end of April. Does anybody have any good tips about which is the best way to get there non-reving. At this time all the flights have seats but most of the flying into MHH is on a SAAb (silver) or Dash 8-300 (Bahamas Air) with a few AE 145's going in and I'm worried they might fill up to capacity closer to the time.
Airport options are West Palm Beach (United/Silver), Fort Lauderdale (United/Silver), Orlando (United/Silver), Nassau (Bahamas), Miami (Eagle).
I have travel privaleges on United, Delta and US Airways. However looking at the United non-rev travel site it doesn't show the MCO-MHH flight operated by silver but when I go to united.com it is there. What's that all about?
Does anybody know if the flights are typically full? I assume the SAAB has a flight deck jumpseat I can jumpseat on?
I'm heading on a sailing/diving trip and so we'll have proper luggage to check which I usually don't like to do non-reving. We are also on a schedule and we need to pick up the boat on a saturday so we are leaving on Thursday to give us a couple of days to get there, but we have to get there.
I'd appreciate tips from anybody with any experience non-reving to MHH or any Silver pilots that want to pitch in about load factors or what to expect etc.
Cheers
