As an AF guy myself...the last place I wanted to see was the SQ starting Atlas. Reschedule and do them when you're done.

Going home for family is something else. I went home 5 times urging initial. I also spent a lot of time at grill/pool.

Give Atlas your attention for a few weeks. I promise the AF BS will be waiting for you when you get back :-)
