My experience has always been that once I get my head in the game of training I was better off staying in that grove. No matter how good my intentions of studying while home it never really happened and it would take a few days to get back in the training mode upon return. Years ago I just came to the conclusion it was better to focus on that one thing until reaching the finish line. Of course that doesn't make it gospel for everyone.... Your mileage may vary.
