A lot better than the long haulers. I maintain my proficiency while giving about 90% of the flying to my FOs.
I did my bit of long haul flying on a BBJ. The time changes and different 10 star hotels and exquisite catering got old very quickly. I would be, pardon the pun, so zoned out in the middle of the sleep period, that I would occasionally walk into the wall trying to find the bathroom. The reason I write sleep period is because it was necessarily during the location's layover.
