Well, actually, if you want to get technical, Delta forced SkyWest to agree to this at gunpoint, as a condition of the sale of ASA and the ATL gates. Delta then proceeded to create a cadre of "new" DCI carriers like GoJets and Silver, and then forced Mesa and Pinnacle into bankruptcy, forcing their contracts to be gutted. So really, SkyWest signed it in good faith, then Delta did everything in their power to ensure SkyWest could never reach that goal by constantly moving the goal posts.
I know you guys think Delta is the be all and end all, but fortunately for you guys, you never get the receiving end of their shady dealings. But enjoy that profit sharing check.
So you're saying Skywest Inc was forced to purchase ASA? It wasn't their decision to do so?
If you don't like the terms on a car loan, do you sign the agreement? If so, it's no one's fault but your own.
