I used the 12,505 number of total pilots from the APC page and added the number of mandatory retirements of 4,737 through 2023, and came up with about 38% for UCAL. I don't have numbers for Atlas retirements, but I suspect you're pretty spot on. I did fat finger the upgrade time and meant about 1/2 based on growth at Atlas and what they are telling us to expect for upgrades (around 7 years). Depending on which number from the UCAL page for most junior Capt, it's either 1996 or 2005. One is on par with what Atlas has, and the other is about double the time. A lot of other factors go into this decision and one needs to do their own due diligence to see what fits into their career desires. For me, Atlas was the better choice, but for others UCAL is a great place to be.
