He actually pulled a lot of punches. He could have dropped the hoplophobic lexicon all over the place with such zingers as:
semi-automatic
auto-loading
assault
fully loaded
high capacity
high velocity
high powered
metal jacketed
hollow point
expanding
deadly
tactical
pistol grip
magazine fed
clips
concealed
and numerous others, plus the tertiary gold mines like:
pressurized, grandma, etc. that accompany the standard narrative from the naive anti-gunners, but he didn't "go there" so we gotta give him credit.
Now onto the topic of tiny 2.3 inch non locking blades. This is a rare moment of smart, common sense thinking from a big gubment agency. They need to be spending ALL their time looking for real weapons and especially the "other stuff". There is nothing, and I mean nothing, you can do with a non locking 2.3 inch skinny little blade that you couldn't do better and easier with numerous other things currently "allowed" so despite the hyperbolic hysteria from the FA union(s) this is a non event.
Whatever level of security we have, if a non locking 2.3 inch blade poses a threat then we're in big heap trouble regardless and that in and of itself is proof positive that we need other things fixed first.
Its about time they stop confiscating these
The FA unions are rapidly losing credibility with this one. Despite the predisposition to paranoia and hoplophobic hysteria of the media and the authority worshiping low information voters, no one is falling for the fear tactics on this. Like no one. Anywhere.
