Personally I don't think a raise in the bonus will make much of a difference. Maybe a little. I just don't think there are that many qualified pilots out there. I bet there are a bunch with a couple hundred hours that would love to come to the regionals but now they can't afford to get their 1500 hours. CFI used to be the main road to the regionals but now there are not many students to instruct. Just my 2 cents.
I've got a ATP multi, but with very low airplane hours. There are qualified people, per the new regulation, but they won't look at some of us for other flight time reasons.
