I wish you were right, but every radio talk show knucklehead I've listened to on this subject is whipping up additional hysteria over the deadly implements.
My prediction: TSA will rescind this intelligent decree under popular pressure. Comparisons with passengers on a train or bus who can carry a pen knife and go beserk as well in an aluminum tube will be ignored.
Martial arts masters pose a worse threat. I believe they should be denied boarding.
