That was exactly why I got my type. I know someone on here said that you can use the GI for your ATP, but I couldn't find a place. So I went with HPA and the GI bill paid 100%. SWA is not one of my top choices, so I was worried about how the 737 type would look to other airlines. I plan to explain exactly as it happened...it was free, and it exposed me to heavy flying since I've flown single seat mentality for the last decade.

I'm pretty sure the top tier airlines aren't too concerned about one leaving for SWA. Why would you leave a comparable paying job, take a temporary pay cut, loose valuable seniority and start over? I could see it being a consideration at a lower paying airline. If it hurts me...so be it, I'm not going to loose sleep over it.
