Fair enough, it's been a while since I had to worry about that. The ATP is dead easy to get. 1-800-ALL-ATPS is your friend. Were I in the hunt, I would consider it a worthy investment. In gambling terms, you are betting the odds on the craps table. It may not get you anything, but it could be the ticket to a big payoff. *shrug*

I always encourage folks to get every rating they can get their hands on, but that's just me.

Magpuller, consider it a way to whittle down the applicants, or maybe it's a motivation check. Seeing as how everybody gets a type rating here, maybe it's proof you can hack an ATP in at least one airplane already. I can't speak for HR, but you asked for my $.02, so there it is.
