It's not 11. 365 days divided by 35 day bid periods = 10.42 bids per year. In any case, that doesn't really matter... you'd actually have to run the numbers for min guarantee. Line holder min is 80.3, which works out to 2.29 per day. A normal 75 hours over 31 days is 2.41 hours per day. So a tenth per day... roughly a difference of 3 hours per month. Composite or reserve min is 86.3, and it's not hard to credit more. A few months ago I was consistently over 100 per bid. With the way the min guarantee, number of days per bid, and minimum number of reserve/composite days off per bid (13) is set up... it's all about the same when compared to most other regional airlines that are on a month-to-month bid process. That is, no real "correction" is needed when comparing hourly rates with different airlines due to our jacked-up 35-day bid schedule.*
Colgan's second year pay was over 40 an hour?
*Disclaimer: I'm not playing the "my regional is better than yours" game. This place has at least as many problems as any other regional, and in some ways it has more. I'm just trying to correct some mis-information. I didn't bring it up... Haha.
