I chose to stick it out and enjoy life instead of being a miserable person and complain about everything that is not in my control. I think we are pretty close to getting a new contract this year and if you are going to complain about the current contract then you shouldn't have come here in the first place or should have left for somewhere else. Life is too short to be so negative, suck it up or gtfo.
Karna,
with all due respect , I think the recent upgrade got into your head. Since you upgraded recently, that means that you are very senior FO. That means that you were able to enjoy the benefits of that. while 180 of us hit the street for a year and half.

I agree with the people above, people that I work with is the reason I am able to keep some sanity here..

Then again, if you were not on reserve more than few months, if you never got furloughed, if you never commuted, if you are a CA now and enjoying the higher pay , that means you are few of the lucky ones.

That doesn't mean that a legitimate cry from a junior FO (well not so junior any more) should not be called unheard.

Also, 41K /month is pretty high for a member of Club 36.62. If you were holding 17 days off and assuming you collected 12 days of per diem at 1.65/hr that means about 3K / year on per diems. At 36.62 /hr times 1000 hours per year it still doesn't add up.

Lastly, thanks for the "I had mine don't care about yours" attitude.
