When the ALPA arrives @ jetblue and the MEC has personally consulted you for your specific contractual demands you still won't be happy.

The facts are out on the table for everyone to see and understand. I've said it from the beginning of our union rants, there can not be harmony at this company unless there is a preservation of the existing open communication between the pilot group and management. We can have ALPA, IAW or JPA and still achieve this. Why you don't have anything constructive to present to attaining this harmony is an indication of your personal disdain for managemt and corporation. I say, "Drop your sword sir, and raise your constructive pen!" (Or in this case keyboard)

Bubs with all due respect you haven't been here long enough to see there is no communication. Since 05 there have been several pay review processes. PCG1, PCG2, PCRB, FSM etc...

Each year a new committee and acronym is developed and each year the results are disregarded. Do you think the pilots supported or suggested the pay raise should be 2% while gutting the health care?

The PVC and CBC both told the company not to do this and presented the supporting information. JetBlue designed a new committee called the CATCAB which had one pilot designee who signed an NDA which precluded him from sharing any the information with the pilot committees. So JetBlue paid for pilot committees to provide pay and benefits info only to start a third committee to override he previous 2 committees and institute the changes.

The reason some in the pilot group believe there is open communication is because ford and Harrison has specifically told management to give the pilots a perceived voice. Send out surveys, give them feedback opportunities on monthly calls, make CP's available to them. All this is designed to foster that open communication feel when in reality we have none. The changes indicate this.

The only way to have open communication is via negotiations under a legally binding CBA.
