Some time ago, when this all came out, I remember I told people to be careful what they wished for. I told people that arbitration of these rates could hurt us tremendously. I told people that this could destroy our negotiating capital. I remember many on these boards saying that the xjet mec would show us how a real union negotiates......................................

I haven't directed any bad blood at the erj side and I have seriously tried to point out that we were self destructing. I have tried to point out that management was writing a new book on union busting. Today, all of this is confirmed.

Today, I will tell you all that I am disgusted by the actions of both our mecs... But I must say I know feel very angry at the ERJ side for this one. In this case I think management has beaten me. You guys just destroyed any negotiating capital we may have had for 70 seat rates. This is intolerable, and this deal is backhanded as hell. I don't understand how people couldn't see this coming. I can't understand how your MEC would demand higher rates and then decimate our joint bargaining capital. This is pathetic and childish. This is exactly what management wanted, you fell for all of it. Let us all take this as a lesson. This is a huge win for management.
