I also appreciate Tony's insight. He's frequently forward thinking and tries to imagine how the company might use the contract/LOA language to their advantage. I want to company to realize efficiencies when they can, it's good for our paychecks, retirement and our customers.

It bothers me a bit that it's Tony that is forward thinking and not our Negotiating Committee. Has the NC asked themselves how the language 'might' be used against us? If they have, have they included that info in their 'Roadshow" presentations?

I'll also use the 'used car' analogy ... it always bothers me when I'm being asked to 'buy' something based on it's positive attributes only. In my mind MY NC owes me a, "These are the good things about XYZ and these are the bad. Please read the agreement for yourself and decide if you can live with it."

Don't get me wrong here. I'm leaning towards voting for the LOA because I think the alternative could be worse. I just wish we didn't 'seem' to get outmaneuvered on every turn.
