I think you're confusing Etihad (Abu-Dhabi) with Emirates (Dubai). They are different airlines based in different cities.
And from reading TP's posts, he's an Emirates pilot, most likely a manager who knows alot about EK's (Emirates Airlines) operation.
As far as Etihad, that is another airline altogether.
